Private medical treatment

This type of Visa will permit you to visit the UK to receive private medical treatment. Please note that this will not permit you to receive treatment from the National Health Service. You must provide satisfactory evidence of your medical condition and the treatment that you need. You will also need to demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to support and accommodate yourself without relying on public funds, as well as enough money to meet all medical expenses during your stay in the UK. You must also indicate the duration of the treatment as you will be required to provide the likely duration of your visit. You will be given a period of stay up to six months. In some special circumstances, you might be able to extend your Visa beyond six months.
